Somebody on the HP pointed out it looks like you can see an oval in one of the grille shots? Optical illusion or an attempt to really throw people off?

 

Definitely a blue-oval-esque grill insignia. Hopefully GM takes a page out of the Ford book for minimal driveline slop and no shake with the new one, and bumps the size of the garbage 5.3 to add more usable real-world torque to the bottom end; nice engine for a transplant into a 3200 lb Monte Carlo, but not a 5800 lb brick.
