I have a 2003 Silverado Z-71 stepside extended cab with the 5.1 engine. Don't know if I am in the right area for this question, but I am good at taking directions.
My problem is that I have damaged the passenger side quarter panel. It is that composite material. Have a part #15758520 that I am not sure if it is correct.
I know the part has been discontinued, so I need a used one or could it be repaired.
Looking for any help in finding suggestions to replace/repair it. Don't know if it is like a corvette fiberglass or not?
Thanks for any help.

Anything *CAN* be prepared. Ease of repair is the question though, and whether you are up to the job. While my 1996 step side is pure metal, I've seen one of the early 2000's step sides that was wrecked and noticed that the side was what appeared to be fiberglass. I was pretty dismayed that they would have made the outside of the bed out of fiberglass instead of metal on the newer trucks, but I imagine it's because it is cheap. Anyway, I would think you could repair it the same way you would any other fiberglass material.
Can you post some pictures of the damage? That would be useful in seeing if it is repairable or not.
