Default Belt tensioner broke, bad part?

Hi all

Has anyone ever seen something like this? i recently bought this car, so I don't know how old this belt tensioner is, or how it was mounted, I am guessing nothing other that a bad part could cause this? or am I wrong?

TIA

Klaus

Klaus,

You are in luck. RockAuto has these in stock. Prices run from $20 to about $100 for the OEM part.

Installation is easy if you still have the mounting bolts.
