2000 chevy suburban instrument cluster help please.
Hi.
Just short explanation to tell my problem.I was buying a 2000 year chevy suburban. V8 5.3l engine.
I need a cheap car for work and I feel myself good enough to fix a couple thing on cars. When I went to buy the car the car was runing no lights on the dsash. looked good enough and cheap for work. I did not put the scanner on it it was my fault. I took home ,registered. Before I go to the emmission test i said just in case i scan the car.
what a surprise I got a bunch of codes includeing P0650 check engine light trouble.what I said I am not scared to fix things. I was start the troubleshooting and I found the first problem. This genius a*****e brake out the check engine led and ABS led to sell the car looks like no troube. I have to fix the problem and I can. the two led os on way the only problem this genius broke one resistor and one capacitor also. so if some of you guys have an originnal 2000 year chevy suburban or other instrument cluster panel or any photo around the check engine led to help me recognize the capacitor an resistor it could help a lot. Thanks any kind of help. I will try to attack a picture about the area what I need to see. thank you.

All my respect. I am ordering these two. Couple day shipping. I will post when I finished.
If works all cost is 10$. sounds better then 100$ cluster replacement.
Thanks

The capacitor has really strange markings. My guess any ceramic would work like a
.01 or .1micro 50v. Looks like its just being used to keep the stray voltage off the LED?
The 560 ohm resistor is just a voltage dropper for the LED. fyi...Not to insult you but you are aware the LEDs are polarity sensitive cathode(-) and anode(+) and they have to be installed with the correct polarity. Looking at the LED the thick part is the cathode(negative).

Thank you so much guys for the information what you gave me.
I hope not , but here is short thread for others, if something similar happening with someone.
2000 Chevy suburban purchased with broken check engine/abs led . Code P0650 stored.
1. remove instument cluster
2. Recognize missing elements/parts. ( in my case
12V LED Diode White Mini Bulbs Lamp For GM Cluster Speedometer
1 01uf 50V 20% X7R AXIAL CERAMIC MLCC CAPACITORS C410C103M5R5CA KEMET
560 Ohm Resistor 1/4w)
3. required tools
soldering machine
desoldering pump
solder
4. solder the elements to their place . Make sure you install the right ways because polaraitiy change can make more trouble.
5. when you done, put the cluster together , and back in to your car.
6. Done.
/ normaly the cluster led indicating yellow color for check engine. in my case I was ordering white leds you can see on the pictures. but you can install any kind of color led .
Special THANKS for lunsethm for helpful comments !!!
