2015 Tahoe liftgate repairable DIY?
My powerlift gate is catching and/or overextending and appears to be related to one of the bars that support the lift.

Here is a video of the lift going up and getting stuck then going back down on his own https://www.dropbox.com/s/gvibmbj7uc...46.08.mov?dl=0
and here is a comparison of left and right

is this fixable on my own or something further I can do to diagnose? I'm not sure how these are attached

if the new models haven't changed(can't tell as your pics only show 1 side).... one strut is an assist strut and the other is hydraulic with an electric fluid pump. If the assist strut is weak, it won't lift properly. If you can assist the lift by hand and it works, check the strut, you should not be apply to compress it by hand. if you can, its nfg.

Anything else I should look out for?
