Default 08 silverado rear end drop

ok i have the 08 chevy silverado and i want to drop the back end to make it level with the front. yes i know ppl say it should be lifted but i just want to level the truck out and just drop the rear. i dont want to lift the front. just want it to look good.

would it be good to just remove the 1 1/2" block thats already installed under the leaf springs or would it be better to just buy the 2" drop shackles? is there any safety hazards with removing with that block? which one does everyone say is safer to do, remove the block or get drop shackles?

get the drop shackles. without the blocks in the rearend it is possible for the rearend to shift if it gets under hard pressure while taking off fast or pulling something heavy

Don't forget to get an alignment, or in a few months the tires may not look that good.

Cool

Because you're changing the body lean and the suspension on your truck. This usually throws the front wheel alignment off. Even if it doesn't affect your steering, it can ruin your tires very quickly.

I'm looking to do the same. Good info. Where can we pick up the 2 inch drop kit only for rear. Only one company makes it? I've found sites with the combo drops listed but nothing on just the rear drop.

Why would that happen if you remove the blocks?
I think removing them would be fine as long as the center pin in the leaf pack drops into the perches. In fact you would get less axle wrap without the blocks.
