I still had 1 occasion where the main vent wouldnt work. I think it was just blowing down by my feet and wouldnt switch back. It only did this once thought and has been fine ever since. everything else is straight except now the remote start doesnt work. this isnt a huge deal and I plan to have it fixed at my next oil change. Thanks for asking.

Default 2008 Silverado Cruise Control Fixed

I have a 2008 Silverado LTZ 2500 HD Diesel. I was having cruise control problems. At first i thought that it was the cold weather, because it would work fine after the truck was warmed up. It finally quit working all together but the light on the steering wheel was still on. I replace the switch on the brake pedal and it solved the problem. The part number was A/C Delco# D1586H, GM# 15861245. All you need is a 10mm wrench and a small screwdriver to pry the clip apart. I hope that this helps.

Default 2008 Silverado cruise control.

I pressed on the set button and a the same time kicked the brake pedal a
couple of times and the cruise came on. What is involved in changing the brake switch ?

2007 Silverado 4x4 5.3 automatic and I have this same condition. I guess it's time to change out that switch. "I replace the switch on the brake pedal and it solved the problem.
