Mine is a crew and I do have the vibration problem. What is the first number in your VIN?

Imentioned the d/s but the enginers mantain it is in the tires and have that thought stuck in their minds. I have been told its only in the extened cab. I dont want a truck like this at half the price. Although a crew cab has been brought up as a repair. Also did the other truck have the bigger motor aqnd the 6 speed trans. Good luck on monday please keep me posted

Update. Try replacing steering column.

I would suggest to all that you have your dealer check and replace the steering column in your truck.

After taking my truck to two dealerships, the second dealership actually spent some time trying to figure out what was causing the vibration (going beyond the usual tire / balance excuse). They found lots of "play" in the steering column and decided to just replace the entire part.

Although my truck still doesn't ride as nice as my 2008 did, replacing the steering column has helped. I no longer notice vibration on the highway and it is less noticable at slower speeds.

Hope this helps other frustrated owners. I also hope that GM does something to correct this in the future... so make sure you open a case with GM and report back to them what needed to be fixed.

sorry to feel your pain, i just bought a '11 couple months ago crew cab tho with only a couple thousand miles on it. No vibration so far (knock on wood), but my vin# begins with a 3 also.

Want to clarify. Are we calling the 6th digit from last the first number? If so, mine is a 4 and it vibrates.
