differential/ cv axle question
So i feel dumb having to ask this but im having a hard time figuring this out. the cv axle bolts to another axle typed part that goes into the diff. well thats pulling out of the diff. and its leaking fluid and id rather get it fixed before the diff. goes bad. i can see the seal and its cracked and in bad shape.

yeah thats the plan the axle is close to 300 bucks so i think ill pull it out and see if it looks good it should still be fine and hopefully i can just replace the seal i just cant figure out how the dang thing popped out like it did ill try to put a picture of it up so you can actually see what im having such a hard time explaining.
as always thanks for your help and time

you said it looks like its hanging out of the diff?? does it have a lot of play where it goes in the diff?? may need to open the diff up and check for bearing failure

I am having same problem and had the differential rebuilt new bearings and seals new outer housing less then two weeks ago and is now worse then it was before.. is the cv axle supposed to move in and out? the movement and leaking is from the pass side ive also put 2 front drivers side hubs on with in 5 months .. what could possibly make it go bad that fast... now idle arm and pitman arm are bad as well
