I am looking for the correct parts for replacing two belt tensioners, idler pulley, and belt.

It seems that there is a belt drive pulley and an idler/tensioner pulley. I assume that if I am replacing an idler pulley, I won't need the belt drive pulley?

Now I need two tensioners. There is an A/C and serpentine. Is there a difference? Do I need both?

Now the belt. A/C or Alternator. Also, is my alternator a 130 amp?

What is wrong with the truck?

 

I just bought it used and noticed some chirping upon startup and idle. I thought it was just the belt, but I took it to my mechanic, and he said to replace the belt tensioners, idler pulley, and belt. There seems to be a bit of wobble from the tensioner(s) and the belt is pretty worn. It is right at about 106K on the odometer, so I am replacing these so there isn't any issue down the road.

 

Seems like a awful lot wrong for a chirp at start up. There is a very good chance the belt will fix it.

 

True, but he was suggesting replacing all of these and not have to worry about it again. He said it is around this mileage and especially being 10 years old, that these things start to pop up. It is also very noticeable while driving. He wouldn't BS me as we are good friends and are both hardcore G8 enthusiasts. Him more than me. You may know him.

He did mention replacing the belt with a goodyear belt, but I am not sure which one.
