Default How to turn off the Service 4wd light?

I have a 2000 Seirra 4x4 with 5.3L. My service 4wd light started coming on when first starting the truck. Each time I start the truck it comes on for a longer time. It is now on most of the time.
I have changed the fluids in the t/c and front diff. How do I reset the computer to get the light to go out? Other than the light on, everything is working fine.

You really should not ignore a light like that.
It is likely a switch, sensor, or something of that nature that has gone out and needs to be replaced,
When was the last time you used your 4wd? You should switch it into 4 high every so often and
Go around the block or down to the corner store or something in 4wd just to ensure everything stays lubricated and works properly. There is no feeling like having a 4x4 truck and needing the 4wd feature and for
Some reason it doesn't work and you get stranded or whatever.

I just used the 4wd yesterday. It is a habit to switch it in to 4wd at least evry 30 days. It works fine. I think that it is a service reminder type thing being it comes on longer each time the truck is used. Very similar to the change engine oil light. If it was a trouble code type thing wouldnt it be on constantly?

I would think it would be on there constantly, but you might not have a constant problem;
It could be an intermitant issue.
