Hey guys have a 92 full size truck. Hate my metal side mirrors and would like to do newer style plastic ones. Can be manual not power no biggie. Is the swap possible? And if so what is needed? Thanks

 

There are a number of replacement side mirrors available in plastic for the 1992 full size trucks. You may want to do a quick search online for some of the models available. Also, you could go to your local auto parts store and take a look at some of the parts catalogs.

The swap is pretty straight forward. There is an internal cover plate inside that needs to be removed. The mirror is attached with three bolts. Both side mirrors can be replaced within an hour.

 

Well basically I just want to know if the plastic oem will fit from the same body style truck. Didn't know if some came in manual or only power and how in the world the power style would retrofit.
