Exclamation No start- No power to anything in dash.

Hey all. New to the forum here coming over from your blue oval friends.

I have a 2000 C3500 that I cannot get power to anything... The only thing that comes on with the key is the clock on the radio. No fuel pump, no door buzzer, no cab light. Turn the key, nothing... I don't know where to start here. I know very little about how the electronics work in these trucks. I have checked all relays and fuses and everything was good.

I changed the wiring harness that goes from the key cyl to up under the dash. Its a big box end that screws together. Still, nothing. I dont know where to start. Any ideas??

Check the connections to the battery, and be sure its charged. my 89' used to do that when the battery was drained.

Well its a new battery and the grounds and positive were replaced with the battery. There is no power to the starter. I can turn the key to the start position, but nothing happens. I can jump the starter and the motor will turn over, but won't start because thefuel pumps won't run.

It will do this even with the battery charger hooked to it.

check for power coming from the igntion switch
sounds like the ignition power isn't firing up
you should have power on these wires in these positions:
Red or Red\white should be 12 volts at all times
Pink - ignition
white - ignition
orange - accessory
brown accessory
yellow - start

Well i still haven't figured it out... I changed the whole steering column with a known working one because I was told that if the ignition switch (the one around the key) was bad, that it could cut off power to everything. If the computer went out on this thing, would that not give anything power??

i need to get this truck sold and really dont want to scrap it. It was a good running truck from what I hear.
