i have a cold air intake, straight pipe, and hypertech maxx energy... some of the younger kids around town have diesels that are waxing gas burners.. how can i make mine beat them haha

longtube headers and a performance tune not that programmer stuff...that might do it. of not then you'd have to do cams and what not

yea tunes are better than programers
but also get high flow cats unless u cut them off already
and depend on how much u willing to spend put a turbo on your rig
most(if not all) diesels have one and that helps get boost to your motor
also helps gas milage if you dont stomp on it
maybe even a quick shift kit or bigger rear end gears

your gonna spend more then douple what they are to beat them. you wanna beat a diesel? get a turboed car.. who the hell races a truck? sheesh

got a friend with a 02 silverado on 20"s that has a 5.3, pacestter longtubes, off road y-pipe, Borla exhaust, k&n intake and a custom tune and he is blowin diesels off the road so I figure if he has what it takes then why can't you? granted you're a little heavier with 4wd but it should work
