I have a 04 Silverado 1500 4.3L 75,000miles. Everything is stock except for the K&N cold air intake. The truck has a hesitation when you hit the gas (slight or full pedal). It mostly occurs when you take off from a stop but it also occurs at slower speeds. I have replaced the fuel filter, plugs, wires, and cap but that did nothing to help. The truck starts and idles just fine.
I just purchased a hypertech max energy programmer and it said that I have a P0001 code (Fuel Volume Reg Ctrl Circ/Open). I have checked the fuel psi at startup and it is within limits. Does this code point to something besides the fuel regulator?
I’m not sure if both of these issues are related but I am assuming so. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Av8or72dan, We have seen this error code come up before, you need to update the unit to the latest calibrations online and the code should go away. If you update and still have the problem, call our tech suppport line at 1-800-532-3351
