09 p/u Extended Service Contract
Extended Service Contract : is it needed? i know it a crap shoot but what do u think... they quoted me $1950 for the gm coverage.

Wow, they quoted me 2350$, the question that comes to my mind is -wouldn't I be better taking the chance? What repair costs 2000+dollars??? I decided to do religious maintenance, and if I need to spend 2000$+ to fix my truck at some undetermined time in the future, I'd rather have it in my pocket at point of failure than find out I wasted it on a warranty which may have expired or has an unforseen loophole.

What is the coverage? There all differant kinds of coverage. miles ,years, bumper to bumper, deductable. I have seen your posts now for a few days on differant ? you have.If you would give more info in them it would help. I paid 1050.00 for a 6year 60,000 mile bumper to bumper ,no deductable , and gap insurance.

waste of money! That is why they push them. They have a higher profit ratio than the actual car sale.

I have to agree with Fying Low. These are a big revenue generator for the dealers and are mostly profit on their end.
With the length of the factory warranty I didn't think it was worth it for me.
