1982 Chevy K10
Hello Everyone,
I have 1982 Chevrolet K10 pick up truck (4X4) V-8. 305 block. It been sitting on my driveway for a pretty while probably about 3 months. Anyway, battery was no good, I replace another battery and when I start up, the engine grinding, after several attempt trying to start - no luck. Went check under the hood, make sure battery was tighten, all the sudden I felt that postive and negative battery cable was very hot - any idea why ?
Thank you

Hello Friend,
Sorry for long delay... something come up with my job. Yesterday I had removed the starter and brought it to a friend of mine who work at auto shop. They said that this starter is good. Was told it may be a bad ground connection. I decided to buy a new battery cables 48" long. It works! My truck had been sitting over few months. I finally be able to drive around, unfortunately 10 minutes later, I heard a loud "BANG!" .... (I'm deaf myself) It was really loud!. I could see water mist coming out of hood edge. Found upper hose burst big time. So, now I assumed that this thermostat was stuck closed the whole time. I'm not going to give up and keep on working on my toy
