1985 gmc sierra
Hey everyone,
I'm new to the forum and I do own a 1982 Chevrolet Malibu as well as a 2007 cobalt ls, so don't hate on me to much when I ask my question
I'm looking at buying a completely original 1985 gmc Sierra classic with very little body work that needs to be done I mean very little, like some rust just infront of exhaust pipe and a ding in the left driver side front quarter panel. Seller is saying he is giving me a deal at $7500 and that he others interested in the past at more than $10,000 but he didn't want to let it go at the time. Anyways obviously my question is that truck worth $7500? It has approximately 105,000miles

Needs a little body work and paint for $7500 and he thinks he's giving you a deal....he clearly LOVES this truck more than you or you wouldn't care what it's worth. If it's a short bed, 350 ci , 2wd maybe $4000. 4wd maybe $5000 max IMO.

New truck
So I was actually thinking of getting a new dodge I'm sorry chevy fans but from what I've read it's a good truck. Besides that, I drove through a chevy dealership the other day and noticed a beautiful truck. It was a 2012'regular cab chevy silverado with the 5.3l vortec engine in it. So I'm wondering how good that engine is and has anyone driven this truck or something similar and what did you think? Also any suggestions on a new truck for me? It will be my first truck and I don't need it to be for really heavy towing just basic day to day things but also don't want an underpowered engine for the weight of the truck for I may tow some smaller things in the future. I know one thing I'm not really into fords that much but if they are really as good a truck as most say then maybe I should consider. I want to keep price under $40,000 Canadian. Unless my bank approves me for more but who knows till I go see them.
