1985 k2500 6.2 diesel

Im going to look at a 1985 k2500 6.2 diesel anything motor/tranny wise i should look out for to see if it a good truck or not. Im very filmair with trucks not diesels though

Well it will be obvious if theres n oil leak, I had a 1983 K10 4x4 with a 6.2L. The engine oil should be dirty as all diesels normaly are. Check the transmission fluid (while in gear, nuetral works also) then just see how she starts n drives. The 6.2LsI know 6.2 litresuse the same transmission bellhousing patternas the big blocks. If you buy this and decide to change injectors the socket size is 30mm. Also if the glow plugs havent been changed for while just hope they dont have much build up on them or you will be using a pry bar and a vise grip like myself just to get them out lol. Just check everything you would on a gas engine basically (leaks, shifting performance, how smooth engine runs) Diesels will shake more than gas engines too.
