My cruise control on my 96 Chevy truck stopped working, was intermittent then just quit after I hit a bump, where can I start looking, not familiar with this system at all...

 

usually cruise control is triggered by your third brake light. if your 3rd brake light is out, chances are that could be the problem. or it it was intermitent and you hit a bump, loose ground?

 

My third brake light actually hasn't worked in a while and I haven't been able to find out why. I use to have problems with my cruise control but now it doesn't work at all. Can you tell me exactly where the third brake light is grounded?!
