Default 1996 Silverado 1500 oil question

My truck has a 5.7 vortec. 129k miles. Recently bought it for a great deal. Runs amazing and engine is smooth. Question about oil pressure. I'm assuming the gauge is incorrect, but when I first start the truck and before it is warmed up, the gauge reads between 60 and 70 psi. When it is warm it'll be at 40 psi when I'm stopped and 50 to 55 while driving. Is this okay?

Okay cool. I was wondering because the gauge reads 80 max and it is a bit outside the bracket
