1997 5.7 misses at idle

1997 5.7 misses at idle
I have a 1997 5.7 that misses while it is at idle. As soon as i give it any gas the problem stops and it never happens when I'm driving, only at idle. Also it usually never stops until the gas gets a little above a quarter tank, which makes absolutely no sense to me. If anyone has ever heard of this problem or has any suggestions on how to fix it I would appreciate it.
