Default 1998 C1500/Silverado: A/C keeps cylcing?

I hate it when you do a job and then notice something else that you don't know how it was before you did the job. I just did the lower intake manifold gaskets on my 1998 C1500/Silverado. Everything seems to be running smoothly again, no leaks. I did notice the a/c keeps cycling on/off though and I honestly don't remember if it did that before I did this job. I do remember the a/c being nice and cold this past summer. I have the climate temp set to full hot/heat, upper and lower vents (not defrost), with recirculting and a/c both disabled/off. So is the a/c compressor supposed to repetitively cycle on/off?

Usually the cause of the compressor cycling on and off is that you are low on freon.
