Hey there, I just joined today, excited to get started ![Smile](https://chevroletforum.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I have a 1998 Silverado Z71 (Vortec 5.7L 350) with 250,000 on it. Been looking for an excuse to redo the exhaust and just had a pipe break at the manifold clamp, today and been looking at doing dual exhaust with headers. I live in Kansas and there are no exhaust regulations, and Id really like to just leave the cats off and put flowmaster mufflers on. Does anyone know if I can I remove the cats, leave the o2 sensors on and be golden as far as performance and the computer?
Thanks

I think you can do it and ittle run fine but you will have a check engine light on all the time I think. It'd probably be best to take it somewhere and tune it for the new exhaust
