1998 Z71 Fuel Issue?
1998 Chevy Silverado Z71
350/5.7 Vortec
My Truck has been getting more and more difficult to Start-Up.......---when I turn the Ignition I can hear the Fuel Pump prime so I know the Relay is good. The Truck idles fine (a little skip here and there),when I accelerate under 2K RPM it is a little sluggish & when I get in the Gas to Pass someone (above 2K RPM) it skips and wants to nose dive. Today it would not Start at all so I poured a little Gas in the Throttle Body and it fired right up---after I drove it awhile I turned it off, then started it right up again ***did that 3 times***.....but If I let it sit for more than 20 minutes I have to pour Gas in the Throttle Body to start it up.
***Replaced the Fuel Filter last week***
Could the Fuel Pump be getting 'Weak' and not delivering enough Fuel?
I have not had a chance yet to check the Fuel Pressure.
