Default 1999 C1500 60/40 to racing bucket swap

First let me say, I am new to Forums, I read alot of them for tips and info, but this is the first time ever posting, so please bear with me on this, thank you...

Ok, so my situation is this: I have a 1999 Chevy C1500 that has a 60/40 seat set, and I hate it, I have a pair of universal reclining racing buckets that I want to put it, now I know I will have to drill and put a plate in under part of it, but my question is this, would it be better to try to find regular seat brackets from a truck or SUV that had buckets or would I be better off making my own brackets out of 2x2 angle iron? Fabbing them up is no problem for me, I have all the stuff needed, but if there are brackets that I can readily use instead, I am thinking it might be easier and better in the long run... and if I go with brackets from another truck or SUV, which vehicle had them that I can grab from a junk yard?

Thank you all for being patient with me on this...
