have a 1999 chevy 3500 2wd when started runs great, but recently when I try to start, all electronics come on except the gauges. when they do come on the truck will start and run fine. But now the gauges won't come on at all. I Have check all fuses and they seem to be fine, am lost as to what to do next.

no, the security light does not stay on. Do not believe it is in lockdown because I tried to start it yesterday and it fired up but died as if all power was shut off just a few seconds later.

man I feal so stupid
, find the oil pressure sensor, make sure it is plugged in. Check your fuel pressure relay. there should be a fuel pump "test" connection somewhere. you apply power to the connection, if the relay droppes out this "test" connection will keep it running. if it does? it is not the pump! if no run still it is the pump.
