Default 1999 steel brake line problem

I have had it with these steel brake lines blowing. This is the 3rd z71 1500 I have owned that blow a brake line. I have emailed GM and can you believe it they emailed me back with a request number and called me. The big deal is they went me to take it in to a dealer so they can see what went on the truck and see if they will pay for it? I already know what happened to the truck, a line blow right next to the ABS pump under the driver side frame rail. They are all bad and can not believe that this is the 3rd one to go on me. My 1999 only has 57,260mils on it and is mint. What do I do? Do I pay for the towing both ways and then pay for the service charge for checking it out only to have them tell me that they will not fix the truck and I have to pay 2000.00 to have them all replaced. Or do I just fix them myself? I do not know what GM will do, but have a funny feeling that they will say it is a wearing problem and they will not eat the bill. I think this is a very bad problem and a big safety issue on there part. If they are going to use steel brake lines then at lest paint them or under coat them so the do not rust out. I'm building a hot rod and 35' of stainless steel brake line is only 45.00. Now call me dumb but spending 45.00 for stainless steel over steel brake lines is worth a life or two. What do you guys think and what should I do?

ALL auto manufacturers, to my knowledge, use steel brake lines. Steel rusts, and gets corroded.....It's a fact of life. There is no stopping it, only delaying the inevitability
