Default 1999 temperature display

Hi guys My i have a 1999 1500 LS model and the compass display is in the rear view mirror. I want to change the computer to display the temperature but i can not seem to find any info on how or even if the 1999 model can change to display the temperature?

Do you know if the truck even has a outside temp sensor?

I would presume so, it has the little sensor in the dash for the auto lights aswell as the larger longer sense in the top middle of the windshield i would presume for the compass.

Basically i was wondering if anyone with a 99 has a temperature reading in their rearview mirror and if so how they got it. When i flash the truck up i noticed there is a 'C and 'F light in the rearview mirror so i was thinking that there must be a reason for it.
