Hi Everyone,
I'm hoping someone can help me pinpoint my problem here. It seems like my truck overheats ONLY when it is being over worked. Basically, my truck overheats in the following conditions:
1. Hot Weather (90 degrees or so?). I can drive in the morning fine, but if the weather starts to get hot like it has been recently, it overheats.
2. Climbing a big hill
3. Towing my boat
I think its a restricted radiator, but i was hoping to try to fix smaller issues first, and work my way up to the big things if it came down to it. Your help is much appreciated!

First I should state I am not a mechanic.
But you may be right about the radiator.
If i were you.....I'd flush your radiator out (you should do it every 3 years or so anyway)
And what may be the culprit is a sticky Thermostat.
They make Haynes Manuals if you don't know how to change the thermostat.
Thermostat's aren't much money. $10-20 bucks tops prob.
Do yourself a favor and try doing those both....neither coolant or thermostat are much money ...just requires ur time.
Prob at least an hour 1/2 or 2 by the time you get everything ripped apart and all cleaned up.
Make sure you use the right coolant & NOT CHEAP NO NAME COOLANT.
According to this page of Valvoline Zerex ur 2000 uses Dex Cool. DO NOT MIX TYPES OF COOLANT.

Also watch this video as to why NOT to mix coolants> http://www.valvoline.com/include/media/bumperrecut2.swf
Good Luck, Hope that Helps.
