Default 2000 Silverado compatible with 2004?

My 2000 Silverado needs a new rear end and I have the opportunity to purchase a 2004 Chevy with a bad transmission. Are the parts compatible? Transmission swap or rear end swap works for me. Just need a running truck. Thanks in advance. The 2000 is a 4x4 but not sure if the 2004 is.

If im not mistaken it’s 99-06 that are all basically mechanically the same 4l60e and just make sure the rear end has the same amount of diff cover bolts and it should be 3:73 ratio or 4:10 you can check your glove box for code GTA(3:73) for example, i just did my rear end it was pretty easy. If it’s not 4x4 you will need the part that goes between the transmission and drive shaft I forgot the name of it.
