Default 2000 Silverado not starting

My 2000 Silverado V6 has a problem starting when the temperature drops below 10. This started at @45K miles. It is plugged in with a factory engine heater at night. The local dealer has put in 3 fuel pumps, 1 every year for 3 years(no more please!). That is not the problem. They tell me there is no pressure on the rail. I have used lote of anti freeze and dry gas. I can heat the engine with a salamander heater and it will start. This only occurs when truck sits overnight at sub zero temp. Could there be an electronic compnent in the fuel system that is failing? Thanks

thanks admin,

I have been running name brand fuel since I bought it, Texaco, Shell and now Chevron. I always run regular. You think more octane might help? I was considering some type of block heater, like a convection type - to get some heat up to the top of the engine at night.

patrick,

I am in Anchorage. The problem usually surfaces (on schedule)in late December -February when it gets sub zero. I looked at convection heaters, but don't see any place to (easily) mount it low on the frame. Do you know of any circulator pump heater still made? Hopefully one thatwould install into a heater hose.
