2003 Chevrolet 1500 HD
Just bought my first chevrolet truck! 2003 1500 HD Crew Cab 4x4 6.0L 9000 miles!
Awesome truck. Love it but had no idea about the gas mileage. 10mpg around town at best! Help. What are other owners doing? This is with the stock 16s on the truck. Cant imagine mileage with 33s or 35s!
Any suggestions? I really want to keep it but Ive never seen gas mileage that bad. Air filter? Exhaust? Engine swap? ( ;
This truck is pristine I just need it to get 12+ around town. Thanks

I have a 2005 Silverado 1500 HD with Mickey Thompson Baja mtz 33s and I'm getting 10-11 mpg. but that is my all around mileage it doesn't matter if I'm driving around town or if I'm on the highway going out of town. I even pulled a trailer with it for the first time the other week completely loaded and still got the same.
