Default 2003 Duramax, should I buy for this price?

Looking at buying a 2003 2500hd Duramax with an Allison transmission, has 125,000 miles, leather, extended cab, 4wd, asking $16,999. The frame is rust free and in excellent condition, just looking to plow a few driveways and no towing, just want a truck that will last, a family truck, is it worth to buy?

That seems kinda high to me with that many miles on it. Esp since it's an extended cab and not a crew.

I checked on KBB and that is what the average private sale retail price for a similar truck is going for. However, People buy trucks (private sales) all day long under (sometimes way under) the KBB listing. Trade in value is somewhere in the 11-13K price range. That is where I would try and talk the guy down to.

Just my two cents though.

disclaimer, I just put in guesses for the options so the price may be off by a couple of hundred bucks, but its enough to get an idea.
