2004 Chevy 2500HD Seat Swap
Hey all!
I have a question about the swapping of rear seats in an 04' crew cab to the rear sear of a 2000 suburban. I want the burb's back seat in the crew cab. Is it possible, i.e. will the bolt patterns match??? Odd question, but I need to know if it is doable! Thanks in advance!

I haven't dealt with new trucks but we used to swap seats in vehicles all the timei an upholstry shop I worked in. So, number one I doubt very much the bolt patterns will match. At the very least I would expect you would have punch holes in the floor to bolt the seat in, but more likely you will have to build or figure out some type of bracket that will account for the different floor angles you will have to fit to.
If you do attempt this be sure to check and measure under the cab first. There are frame members and even fuel tank issues to deal with at times. We even used to use wood to space the seat right, but you need to bolt all the way through it so the seat is strong enough to withstand an impact that could break it lose because many seats have a seat belt that is mounted to the seat.
