2004 silverado transfer case problem
Hello,
Im trying to determine my problem with my Silverado 2004 Z71. After trying today to install a encoder motor on my transfer case I now have no gears at all. It started after I was trying to take my Transfer case out of neutral after installing new encoder motor. I heard some grinding and a louder noise. I turned off everything to try and understand what had happened and then realized I have no gears now (park, drive, reverse, 3rd and 2nd are all not responsive). Actually reverse makes a grinding noise when trying to engage. What has happened? I think my TC is stuck in neutral. How can I tell? Or is there a manual way to take it out of neutral without the encoder motor working.
