Default 2005 Z71 Questions

I have a 05 1500 Z71 that I have been the only owner. I am thinking about going to the K&N cold air intake and dual exhaust to increase fuel milage and boost power. Will this work?

Also, this truck has ate rotors and drums in the 3 years like nothing else I have seen. Any reason for this?

Default RE: 2005 Z71 Questions

yes it will, you will gain power and milage, but the cost of the add ons will prolly not save you huge amounts in the gas department..

As for the rotors, everyone drives different, my guess, your hard on the brake pedal, do you ride the brakes down hills.. I have almost 35,000 miles on my first set of pads and rotors on my SS, I have seen peole eat up brakes in 5000 miles, others maybe set every 2 years. You could always try some aftermarket crossed drilled rotors or something, if hte GM ones are not to you liking.
