Default 2006 3500 Diesel - Heating issue

Have issues with my heater. It will go cold, I move the gauge down to cold and then back up to hot (not all the way or it will stay cold) then it will usually heat up and be ok as long as I don't mess with it. Doesn't soud like a heater core issue. What else might it be? Thank you

dmack, I would like to suggest that you have the vehicle diagnosed at a dealership. Even if you don't want the vehicle repaired there you would at that time have a starting point towards fixing your vehicle. If you require part numbers I may be able to help in that way as well. I hope that helps you.
