Default 2007 6.0L

Any known problems with the 6.0L yet? i swear i hear a wrist pin noise at idle.
kinda sounds like a lifter tap, but more hollow and its louder from underneath it, almost sounds like it could be coming from the transmission, but its too slow of a noise. didnt make a sound untill i laid in the throttle the other day a little now it has that noise. imagine that.

Only problem I have had out of my 2007 6.0L ltz max 3,500 miles old is keeping my foot from pressing the gas pedal so hard. Did you break it in soft?

yea i been runnin it fairly easy, i dont beat on it, but i do have a heavy foot. i dont think its revved past 4,000 yet. that noise doesnt start till its hot and ran for a while. if i get under it i swear its comin out of the transmission. but its valvetrain speed. i actually noticed it getting quieter now. in a way it almost sounds like something rubbing more than a hard tap or knock.
eh, whatever its got a warranty. i havent beat on it yet or towed anything. im still trying to figure out how i got the variable valve timing 6.0L for the new 07'sin a classic style truck, i didnt think they put them in till the new body style.[&:]guess i figured wrong huh

Just got a 6.0 Saturday, so haven't got many miles yet. I am pleasantly surprised at the good performance of this engine and it is hard to keep your foot out of it.I also have a Vette and regulary visit the Vette Forum. There was a guy on there recently that hada ticking sound. Turned out to be thecam shaft.
We had a vibrating sound on ours that only happened when you stepped onat low speed. I started looking for that and found the hose that goes from the power steering pump has a metal tube on the end of it and it was up again the pump. Put some foam rubber in between and no more noise. Noticed the pump was chrome. Is that standard?
