I just purchased a 2007 vortec max 4x4. Was wondering if the max only comes with 4:10 gears or if there are other options. couldn't find a tag on the diff to confirm. Also since there is no tag on the diff, how could I find out what gear ratio it has short of pulling the cover and counting teeth. Thanks for any help.

Look in your glove box for the RPO codes, GT5 is 4.10s.

3:73 & I love it You could mark the driveshaft & turn the rear wheel once & count the drive shaft Rev. If wheel turnes once & driveshaft 4 yoy have a 4:10 ,but I like the glovebox method better!
