2009 silverado adding oem rear slider

Can anyone tell me if the "power rear slider window" after installation has to have a tech tool on it to read it? I already put in the proper over head console with the switch in it and I am waiting for the window.

wiring harness/ LT Z71 4x4

Does anyone know if the wiring harness is also in the trucks. like a plug and play.
