Hey guys having some issues with my truck its a 2010 1500 lt 5.3l. it started overheating while its idleing. My transmission seems to get hot fast without a load just driving up big hills. rpms around 2500 will put the tranny close to 200F/95C. it has 165000km/103000 miles. I noticed in the past few days that sometimes my voltage meter in my truck says the voltage is low so i check it and sometimes i only get 8-9v while other times im getting roughly 14.8. I realize these could be 2 separate problems any input would be great thanks.


Truck is stock and has no aftermarket parts.

The symptoms :
alternator voltages fluctuating
truck over heating while idling
tanny getting hot fast

 

could be poor airflow through the rad. any crud build up in the fins of the condenser, trans cooler or rad?
