Default 2015 2500 6.0 muffler upgrade

I just bought a 2015 sliverado 2500 4X4 with the 6.0 gas engine. This truck replaced my 2007 1500 sliverado with the 5.3.

My old truck had a nice sound to it stock. The new truck is so damn quiet I can't hear the motor. I want to replace just the muffler but I am cautious because I don't want it too loud because I tow a travel trailer.

Anybody recomend a muffler replacement that meets my requirements?

I replaced the trash can stock muffler on my 2015 2500HD 6.0L with a Magnaflo. Sounds much nicer.... like a pickup should. You need a 3.5" in and out, offset muffler. The rest of the exhaust system is great. A local shop I use frequently got the muffler for me and installed. Beautiful sound. Nice and throaty without being obnoxious. I can't stand to sound like a Harley with straight pipes running down the road. I just wanted a nice tone and got it.

Hey cowpie, do you tow any heavy loads with your truck? I tow a 8000# trailer and want to make sure it's not too loud when I'm in the higher RPM's.

Also can you give me a part number?

Thanks

No, don't really tow that much. Mostly got the 2500 for hauling in the back of it. I have stepped on it on some good inclines with stuff like a pallet of quikrete in the back and put the RPM's at the top and I didn't think it was very load. And I would have noticed, as I cannot stand to have my pickup sound like a straight piped Harley on open throttle. I just like a nice throaty tone.

I really can't on the part number. I had a shop I like in town get the muffler and install for me while I was on business out of state. It is a Magnaflo. it has 3.5" diameter in and out with offset inlet outlet. Should be easy to look up.

What about when the 4 cylinder mode kicks in?

6.0L in the 2500 doesn't have the AFM 4 cylinder stuff going on. One of the reasons I like it over the 1500 with that 4 cylinder goofy stuff.
