292 cam? Specs?

Look around and see if you can get some small block 396 heads to bolt onto it.

Not only do you have to modify the computer, but to take full advantage of the cam, you should really have some head work done too, as in, new valves/rockers/lifters/springs.

yea im going to get a smaller cam
according to that website the stock 1.5:1 springs/lifters
will accomidate a max lift of .4X somethin
and if i get a smaller cam, and the 396 heads, will everything from the stock 350 heads go into the 396 or will i need new valves

When was a small block 396 made? There was a small block 400. Stock springs will work with up to a .480 lift, I believe. I was going to get this cam, but decided not to, as I don't have the money for it and a chip right now.

Good point; I have absolutely no idea why I said 396, haha. I think I meant 400, but have no clue, I was exhausted when posting that. But yeah, check out some 400 heads; they'll allow for higher flow. I'm not sure whether or not you would need new valves/etc or swapping them out, etc.

i might just add to the heads ill have,
unless i can find some on the cheap
i just realized that they are 350+ each lol
but yea that cam kit is actually not a bad deal
Camshaft
Lifters
Matched valve springs
Valve Spring retainers
Valve locks
Valve stem seals
Timing chain set
Assembly lube
Decals
Instructions
it includes all that for 355

i am also looking into freein up a few horses with headers, edelbrock performer 3704 TBI intake, high flow cats, and a k and n air filter
2200 stall, btw how do you change the stall, an underdrive pulley kit, open element filter,

That cam was under $300 and it comes with all that? Not bad at all man. The intake and headers will help out some, along with the HF Cats; and if you go with a K&N Air filter, check out the K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kit.
