RE: 4.3L Exhaust
if it were me sooner boy i'd remove the converters if they're not welded on and punch out the honey comb crap inside of them and then reattach them and then just take the truck and your two new glass packs to a muffler shop and let them put'em on for you for about $50-$60 labor instead of jackin with it yourself. glass packs when brand new are actually considerably quiet! so if you're lookin for that east texas redneck sound you can get them real good and hot and then run alot of water into your tail pipes from a garden hose. this will expand the glass inside and give'em a more waffly and resonating sound. good luck!

KEEP the Cats intact. Not legal. The cats actually work to aid the computer because You have 2 O2 sensors before and 2 after the cats. The newer ( 96 and up ) have the 4 O2 sensors so the computer can actually read emissions. Have the glasspacs installed in place of the OEM muffler.
