i wanna put a lift on my truck idk what size though.
does it matter if its 2wd? :/
and what are some good brands, not to cheap but to not expensive.
ill need all the help i can get, thanks

yes it matters about 2wd vs 4wd. a lifted 2wd truck is just wrong. but i have 6in in front and 4in in rear and sits nice and level. the brand is RCD.

The higher you go, the more MPG you lose.

Is your differential up to the job of powering your truck with a lift?(What's the ratio?)

If it's for looks, then you're stock tires are going to look out of place under that lifted truck.

Maybe you want to consider finding a truck that's already been lifted for sale. The economy being what it is, there's about a million of them out there for sale cheap.

Bear in mind the lifted trucks go through brakes, transmissions, tires,and suspension parts at a much faster rate than a vehicle with a normal suspension. So the start-up cost of lifting the truck is only the beginning.

What kind of obstacles do you need to cross? Bear in mind the differentials generally wind up being the lowest exposed mechanical, the higher the tire profile, the higher the pumpkins.Wow, need a second job yet?

A belated welcome to the forums. This isn't an attempt to bash,just enlighten.

Don't get me wrong, you're going to find out this stuff sooner or later. Sooner saves you a lot of money and aggravation.

Hopefully you'll be able to make a decision that's beneficial to you based on the information provided.
