Default 89 c1500 clutch problems!!!

the other day i came to a stoplight in my 89 c1500, 2wd, 5spd,350, and when i went to push the clutch in to go, i noticed that there was barley any pressure to the pedal and i was unable to put it in gear. now i had it towed to my house and i realized that once its off, u can put it in gear fine and u still HAVE to push in the clutc hto start the truck so idk if its my slave cylinder or my master cylinder or my clutch is just shot. any ideas?! thanks

new update- for some reason, i decided to tap on the slave cylinder and put in even more fluid. after that i pumped the clutch pedal a bunch of times and notcied it got harder. after a while i was able to put it in gear when the truck was on adn its almost normal. so i HAVE NO CLUE whats going on

Sounds like you need to bleed your slave cylinder.
