its a 97 silverado, runs great then last winter it wouldnt start. turned over normal but like it wasnt firing then it would bog down. took it to shop and psi was good. then it started. thought maybe fuel had froze in lines and thawed in shop. no more problems all year til couple days ago. its doing same thing, not cold enough yet to freeze. it did rain and drop to low 40s. any suggestions? i will work on it tomorrow

do you hear the fuel pump run for about 2 seconds when you turn the key on,maybe a bad relay or ground that gets better when it gets warmer out,on my burb there is a small connector next to the fuse box/relay box in the engine compartment that if you put 12v to it,it will run the fuel pump whether the truck is on or off might be good for trouble shooting this, how old is the fuel filter?what was the fuel pressure?

i went out this morning, sun shinning on the truck and it started first try! it has 250k so i guess it wouldnt hurt to get new distributer cap. maybe its cracked letting moisture in. thanks for your reply, if it does it again ill check that. i will post what i find. i forgot to say that it sounded like it was bad out of time while trying to start it, like metal hitting. but only did that a few times. hard to believe that it could just start so easy 12 hours later!
