Default 98 K1500 defrost airflow issue after new blower installed

Hello, I have a 1998 K1500 and recently replaced my heater blower fan. Since doing so, the defrost does not blow very hard on the passenger side, probably only about 25% of what it did before changing out the motor.

I did notice that the rubber cover that encloses the blower was a real pain to get back on after replacement. Could this have possibly knocked something outta whack when I had to force this rubber cover back on?

All other functions (airflow zones) work great and normally. Just the Defrost is having this issue. Any ideas of what would have caused this and what I can try to repair?

Thanks!
