99 K1500 5.7 with 01 5.3 4L60E?
Question, picked up a 99 K1500 with the 5.7 off my brother in law. Trans was blown and he picked up a 4l60e from a 01 Silverado 5.3.
The 5.3 torque convertor doesn't line up to the 5.7 flex plate. Can I simply pick up a 5.3 flex plate and bolt it up to the 5.7 then use the 01 5.3 trans and be good? Been trying to research it the past week and all I'm finding is contradicting info and guesses.
